Event Description
Planning for... Infants
Presented by
Philip Butler

Planning for infants is not about ticking boxes or meeting milestones. It is about understanding who each child is and what they are ready to explore.
This webinar unpacks how thoughtful planning and observation can create calm, engaging spaces where infants learn through every movement, sound and connection. We will explore how to design environments that stimulate curiosity, nurture emerging skills and build a deep sense of security and belonging.
Together we will reflect on how to read cues, respond to rhythms and plan experiences that support infants’ cognitive, social and emotional growth. You will leave with practical strategies and a renewed confidence in your ability to plan for infants in ways that feel natural, respectful and meaningful.
How Your Practice Will Change
- You will develop new ways to observe and respond to infants’ cues and interests with confidence
- You will design environments that encourage exploration and discovery
- You will strengthen your ability to support infants’ sensory, motor and emotional development through play
- You will build secure, responsive relationships that nurture early learning
Completing Planning for... Infants may contribute one hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) approved criteria and addresses:
