Event Description
Starting relationships on the right foot...
Presented by
Philip Butler

It seems obvious, yet it is so often overlooked. The relationships you build with children shape everything that follows. They are not just part of what you do, they are at the heart of it.
This webinar explores how to cultivate, develop and maintain authentic, reciprocal relationships with children that go beyond the everyday interactions. Together we will unpack what trust, respect and understanding look like in daily practice and how these qualities set the tone for learning, behaviour and belonging.
You will reflect on what it means to be the adult children feel safe with, how to balance warmth with consistency, and how deep knowledge of each child leads to richer programming and more responsive practice. We will also look at strategies that strengthen communication, consistency and emotional safety, even in busy or challenging moments.
