Event Description
Child Safe Standards – What You Need to Know and How to Make it Happen
Presented by
Anthony Semann

This webinar introduces the Child Safe Standards and explores how they shape safe, inclusive, and empowering environments for children. Grounded in the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, participants will learn how to engage, educate, and empower staff, families, and children in creating a child safe culture. The session highlights the role of leadership, governance, and everyday practices in embedding the standards, moving beyond compliance to meaningful action. Educators will consider ways to involve children in decision-making, engage families in conversations about rights and safety, and use reflective practice to ensure ongoing improvement. By focusing on practical strategies such as play-based engagement, policy alignment, and culturally inclusive approaches, this webinar will equip participants to champion children’s rights and wellbeing within their organisations.
