Event Description
Using the Exceeding Themes to improve what we do
Presented by

The NQS ‘exceeding themes’ brings focus to three overarching areas of practice. These are:
- practice is embedded in service operations,
- practice is informed by critical reflection and
- practice is shaped by meaningful engagement with families and/or the community
This webinar will unpack what each of these themes look like in your setting and how, as leaders, teams and individuals, we use them as a source for self-assessment and continuous improvement. Prioritising is something most of us could use help with occasionally, and that’s what the themes give us…priorities. By focusing on the exceeding themes as a priority, you can develop clear strategies and plans to implement transformative change. We will also discuss how focusing on the themes can help teams build and develop accountability, communication styles, and many other areas of professional practice.
What you'll take away:
- A practical understanding of the Exceeding Themes and their role in continuous improvement
- Greater clarity about how the themes strengthen and inform self-assessment processes
- Strategies for building shared accountability and team ownership of quality improvement
- New ways to use the themes to guide decision-making, reflection, and professional practice
