Event Description
Rituals and Traditions in Early Learning
Presented by
Deirdre Wilde, Tasha Huddy

Rituals shape how children feel in a space. They create warmth, predictability, and emotional safety, often long before we notice them. This webinar explores the power of intentional and unintentional rituals in strengthening relationships, supporting identity, and responsiveness to children. We will also consider place based rituals and traditions that grow from community, culture, and environment, and how these practices enrich children’s sense of belonging. Together we will look at the rituals you already hold, the ones that have emerged over time, and the ones you may choose to create with purpose.
Leave feeling ready to:
• Identify and shape rituals that support children’s emotional security and sense of belonging.
• Recognise the place based traditions that arise from your community, culture, and environment.
• Create meaningful practices that strengthen relationships and bring rhythm, connection, and intention to daily life.
