New NSW requirement: protected disclosures training for ECEC staff. Many NSW education and care services may not yet realise that, from 24 April 2026, approved providers and services are required to provide regular training and awareness sessions for staff about protected disclosures and the protections available to people who make them.

 

To help services meet this new requirement, Lisa Bryant and Anthony Semann are offering a practical, accessible 1 hour webinar for NSW early childhood educators, students, volunteers and service teams. Both Lisa and Anthony have been strong and consistent advocates for child safety in the early childhood sector, and this session has been designed to help services respond to the new requirement in a way that is clear, practical and meaningful for educators.

 

Because every NSW service will need to provide this training to every educator, Lisa and Anthony are offering the webinar at a reduced cost compared with their usual professional learning sessions. The aim is to make it easy for services to meet the requirement while giving educators the confidence to understand what protected disclosures are, why they matter, and how staff are protected when they raise serious concerns.

Each enrolee will receive a certificate of completion.
