QIP: Inception to Implementation

ATPS 7: Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community Presented by Philip Butler

Description

This webinar provides leaders and teams with an overview of the Quality Improvement Plan from inception to implementation. Repositioning the QIP process as an opportunity for teams to strengthen skills and knowledge — make reflective, collaborative conversations a part of the culture, and support teams in their endeavours for excellence is a necessary move. Some of the areas for discussion will include, what makes a good QIP initiative, how to get the team interested and involved in the process, developing accountability measures around the QIP cycle, and documentation and reporting of the QIP.

Learning outcomes:

  • build knowledge in relation to the self-assessment processes and writing of the Quality Improvement Plan
  • develop strategies to support team engagement and accountability around self-assessment and continuous improvement
  • Ability to contextualise the self-assessment and QIP process to the needs of their setting

Completing QIP: From inception to implementation may contribute one-hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) approved criteria and addresses:

The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers: ATPS 7: Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community

The National Quality Standard: QA 6: Collaborative partnerships with families and the communities
