Professional Learning Programs
EYALT Reports and Their Implications for Practice
The EYALT generates a range of evidence-based reports designed to enhance planning and assessment processes. In this professional learning program, participants will examine the variety of reports produced through the EYALT, learn how to interpret them effectively, and explore strategies for integrating these insights into their professional practice to support continuous improvement.
EYALT and the Early Years Planning Cycle
The EYALT is a powerful tool that supports educators’ engagement with the Early Years Planning Cycle. It facilitates the observation, assessment, and documentation of children’s progress against the VEYLDF Outcomes, assists in developing meaningful learning goals in collaboration with families and professionals, and informs the creation of individual learning plans. Additionally, the EYALT helps educators identify intentional teaching and learning strategies and promotes better information sharing between kindergarten services and schools. This professional learning program will help participants understand how to leverage the EYALT to strengthen their engagement with each stage of the planning cycle.
Summative Assessments and Transition Learning and Development Statements (TLDS)
The EYALT supports both formative and summative assessment practices. In this professional learning program, participants will explore how the EYALT can inform summative assessments, with a particular focus on Transition Learning and Development Statements (TLDS). We will examine how the evidence collected through EYALT reports can be used to develop robust, evidence-based TLDS, thereby supporting children’s smooth transitions from early childhood services to school.
