Where does pedagogical documentation fit in the day?

This session will invite you to think about where pedagogical documentation might fit into the everyday. Maybe that doesn’t seem possible! What does it look like in practice? Is it just keeping records, taking photos, or writing observations? Is it terribly burdensome and above the work we already do? We don’t think so!

 

In this session, we’ll explore how pedagogical documentation acts as a PROCESS of thinking alongside children, noticing the unexpected, and shaping our teaching in meaningful ways, and as a PRODUCT to celebrate pedagogy and learning. But how?! Together, we’ll unpack real examples of what this approach can offer, how it connects to the planning cycle, and why it has the potential to transform the work we do with children, colleagues, and families.

 

Whether you’re new to the idea or looking to revisit it with fresh eyes, this conversation will create space for reflection, questions, and new directions.
