Designing Wonder Indoors

Crafting Inspiring Indoor Environments for Early Childhood Educators Presented by Anthony Semann

Join us for a one-hour online workshop where early childhood educators will delve into the importance of creating visually appealing indoor spaces to enhance children's learning and development. During the workshop, participants will learn how to design environments that encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration. Key topics include the influence of the environment on children's behaviour and mood, principles of layout and organisation, and the incorporation of natural elements and sensory materials. By the end of the workshop, educators will gain valuable insights and practical strategies to create welcoming, aesthetically pleasing indoor settings that inspire wonder and support the overall growth of young learners.

Completing Designing Wonder Indoors may contribute one hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) criteria for Elective PD and addresses:

The Australian Professionals Standards for Teachers: APST 4: Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments

Early Years Learning Framework Learning Outcomes: Outcome 2: Children are connected and contribute to their world

The National Quality Standard: QA 3: Physical environment
