How do you decide what to include in the content of the educational program? The use of children’s interests is regularly used as the basis of what we teach children, however children’s curiosities and questions can be equally as powerful. Questions are powerful as they provide scope for deep investigations and project work. In this webinar we will explore the power of a question and you can become creative in how you teach children and how you assess this learning. Practical ideas and suggestions will be provided and you will end this webinar with a practical example to get you started.
Completing Using children’s questions to plan an educational program will contribute one hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) criteria for Elective PD and addresses:
The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers: APTS 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
The Early Years Learning Framework Learning Outcomes: Outcome 2: Children are connected and contribute to their world
The National Quality Standard: QA1: Educational program and practice
