Event Description
Reclaiming Time Through Slow Pedagogy - 2 Part Series
Presented by
Dr Deborah Harcourt

This 2 part series speaks to every educator who has felt the constant push to move faster and wondered what gets lost when rush becomes the daily routine. Slow pedagogy offers another way. It reminds us that children reveal their thinking when we create room for it and that our presence matters more than getting through the next task.
Across two sessions, Dr Deborah Harcourt will guide educators to notice what becomes visible when we resist the rush, stay with moments for longer, and let children shape the rhythm of their own exploration. Participants will experience new confidence in reading the subtle cues that children offer, reimagining routines as chances for deeper connection and recognising with confidence what truly moves learning forward.
You can expect to strengthen your practice through:
• noticing the quiet signals and tentative ideas that become visible when time is generous
• turning familiar routines into moments that build trust, curiosity and connection
• shaping environments that invite children to linger, explore and reveal their thinking
This is time reclaimed and purpose restored.
