What’s the rush?

Learn to slow down and connect, creating opportunities for deeper engagement in learning Presented by Philip Butler

Description

Whether you are experienced or new to the sector, this webinar will champion ‘slow’, showcasing the benefits of letting go of the rush and enjoying the engagement of working alongside children. We will look at the rhythm of the day, the documentation expectations, working collaboratively with colleagues, and strategies to help the children slow down and engage more in the ‘flow’ of the day and be exposed to deeper learning opportunities. Remember…it’s not the quantity but the quality, not the number of learning experiences offered but the length of time the children are engaged in an experience. Are you providing a sushi train program or offering learning spaces and opportunities that foster and support deeper learning with better daily outcomes?

Completing What's the rush? may contribute one-hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) criteria for Elective PD and addresses:

The Australian Professionals Standards for Teachers: APST 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning

Early Years Learning Framework Learning Outcomes: Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing

The National Quality Standard: QA 5: Relationships with children
