INSPIRE 2025: Early Bird Registrations Now Open

I am new to…setting up environments

Presented by Anthony Semann

Description

The ‘I Am New To…’ collection of webinars is designed to assist teachers and educators who are new to the profession. I am new to…setting up environments explores how to set up aesthetically pleasing and effective learning environments. Environments matter. They can promote children’s engagement and learning, or they can do the opposite. What goes into an environment and how it's set up needs to be not only functional but also beautiful. In this practical webinar, participants will be supported to think about the different spaces in early childhood environments, both indoor and outdoor, and what equipment and resources can be placed in these spaces. So, if you are new to setting up environments or want a reminder on how to create spaces that work, then this webinar is for you.

Completing I am new to…setting up environments may contribute one hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) criteria for Elective PD and addresses:

The Australian Professionals Standards for Teachers: APST 4: Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments

Early Years Learning Framework Learning Outcomes: Outcome 2: Children are connected and contribute to their world

The National Quality Standard: QA 3: Physical environment
