Presented by Rachel Flottman
Description
Hierarchies are a tool for conformity and control. This webinar provides practical guidance on how you can embed critical reflection in your team culture by providing safety for educational team members to build courage in truth-telling and share their perspectives on the what and why of all things in educational practice. It builds on key ideas from the first in our series Critical doesn’t have to mean ‘criticise’ and is an excellent learning opportunity for leaders who want to truly create an open, honest and critically reflective setting in which contemporary perspectives and diverse truths can thrive.
Completing Building Cultures of Critical Reflection for Educational Leaders: Dismantling the hierarchy may contribute one hour of PD that aligns with the NESA (NSW) criteria for Elective PD and addresses:
The Australian Professionals Standards for Teachers: APST 6: Engage in professional learning
Early Years Learning Framework Learning Outcomes: Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
The National Quality Standard: QA 7: Governance and leadership
